When I found out of the spin-offs though written by a different authorI was very happy to know that there are still more of the series, and I gotta say, this doesn’t disappoint me!
I am always wary when someone takes a beloved author’s work and continues on with an established series. Of course, there are bad things that happen, but you can be guaranteed a happy resolution and a good moral message. And what a lot she has to deal with – June and new girl Freddie playing tricks continually, the sickly Bonnie shadowing her, and the stuck-up Amy, new term at malory towers has a strange family secret. I have to say the writing, although very similar to the original series, is new term at malory towers than Blyton’s.
New Term at Malory Towers by Enid Blyton
Sadly, I didn’t find New Term at Malory Towers as good as the books I read as a child, but I think that may be due to my increased age rather than any fault with the books.

All people who are reading this. Almost matches Blyton’s style perfectly, so Cox’s continuation feels familiar and very reminiscent of the good old Malory Towers we all know and love. I enjoyed reading about her too. No eBook available Amazon. This book fits in well with the original stories by Enid Blyton. There’s new term at malory towers quite bizarre piece of innuendo as well new term at malory towers, Mam’zelle, really?

I would have liked more activities and more action! Of course Darrell leaves Mallory Towers at the end of Enid’s last book, so she only features at the beginning.
A really enjoyable way to carry on the Malory Towers series, I will definitely be reading the others!
